PlayrPath uses a small set of cookies and similar storage (localStorage) to keep you signed in, remember your locale and preferences, and operate the platform. On our marketing site we also use one first-party visitor cookie, set only if you accept the banner, to recognise a returning visitor and understand how you found us. We do not use advertising cookies, do not track you across other websites, and do not sell cookie-derived data.
| Name | Purpose | Category | Duration |
|---|---|---|---|
| sb-* | Supabase auth session — keeps you signed in. | Essential | Session + refresh (~1 week) |
| NEXT_LOCALE | Remembers your language choice (en-CA / fr-CA). | Functional | 1 year |
| playrpath-prefs | UI preferences such as theme, sidebar collapsed state. | Functional | 1 year |
| pp_vid | Recognises a returning visitor on our marketing site and, when you arrive via a partner link, records that. Set only if you accept the cookie banner. Never shared or sold, no third-party advertising network involved. | Marketing (consent-based) | 90 days |
We still don't use advertising cookies or any third-party tracker. The one exception is the first-party visitor cookie above, which is opt-in — declining the banner means it is never set.
You can clear or block cookies through your browser settings, and you can decline the visitor cookie directly in the banner when you first arrive. Note: blocking the essential Supabase auth cookie will prevent you from signing in.
